Curated.Works: Fairytale – Magic of Couture – Snow White

A month ago, I started the collaboration series with Alice Le and it is all about fairytale characters in Haute Couture clothing. The first piece was Little Mermaid in Christian Dior S/S 2013 Haute Couture dress and today, it’s time to show you the 2nd piece.

If you are familiar with fairy tale characters, I am sure you can recognize this elegant lady right the way. Yes, she is Snow White and Alice has dressed her up in Elie Saab S/S 2013 Haute Couture gown. The composition is flawless here, and the apples add an extra cool touch to the illustration since this fruit is the signature element of this fairytale.

As in why this combination? Here is Alice‘s explanation.

Why do you dress Snow White in Elie Saab S/S 2013 Haute Couture?
I dressed Snow White in this collection because I love the sparkling, shimmering, and shining dresses. They are perfect for a Princess like Snow White. I especially thought this white dress was fitting because of the floral embellishments, the intricate contrasting black and cream designs, and the long flowing cape that will keep her warm in the cold.

What do you think of the Elie Saab S/S 2013 Haute Couture collection? What are some of your favorite pieces?
I love this collection! Elie Saab has always been one of my favorite designers. I love the ethereal and romantic quality of every collection. My favorite pieces are the beaded lavender gowns, the black and cream gowns, and the gorgeous white bridal gown. I think any woman would feel like a real princess in one of these dresses.

Stay tuned on this site for the next piece sometime in May!
