Recently I have been in love with vintage fashion illustrations and today, I found an illustrator who can put a modern twist in this style. Let me tell you, the result is phenomenal.
Ava Gardner in Emilio Pucci Fall 2011
In this series, Desiree A.J.H. Harig picks some of the iconic actresses and an actor from the Golden Age of Hollywood and dresses them in modern outfits. I really love the vintage illustration style here as it truly reflects the old glamourous era of Hollywood. Each outfit Desiree picked can really show the character of each actor/actress and my top favourite is Ava Gardner in Emilio Pucci. Overall, this series is refreshing and beautiful.
I hope Desiree will continue this series and her retro illustration style really sets her apart from other artists. Trust me, we all need some vintage art works in our lives!
You can visit Desiree’s blog to read the concept behind this wonderful series.
